 I have some bugs/suggestions

 by Zero3K on: May 5 2011

1. The progress bar is popping up when opening a blank tab.

2. The preview of the site in a tab isn't being showed in the tooltip of it (I'm just getting a "blank document" icon instead).

3. When loading a page after just opening Lightweight2, the progress bar isn't being displayed in the bottom left corner for a couple of seconds (its being displayed somewhere else though).

4. The progress bar/url hover should be displayed above a page's scroll bar (if there is one).

5. When showing the URL Bar, the address in it should be selected so another address could be easily inputted (without having to press CTRL+A).

1. It is shown only for a very short time. Not that dramatic. If i find time i can have a look into it. (But is a minor issue)

2. The previes are created, when the page is finished with loading. It creates a screenshot of the webview and uses it. To have it alway up to date would making LW2 slow.

3. Can you give a way to reproduce the problem?

4. It is on the buttom side, because the user should not distrubed by them. When having them on the top-side you will notice them more. That can be disturbing, when you are not interested in this information.

5. Its easy to do.

1. Ok.

2. I let the pages load and they still show up as "blank document" icons when hovering over their tab.

3. Try opening a couple of bookmarks that are in a bookmark folder by using the "Open all" menu item.

4 and 5. Ok.

Seems to be a problem with Flash+ QtWebKit wich i cannot fix.
If you don't need Flash on all sites, you can disable Flash for all sites:
Open the Pluginamanger(LW2-Button top right->Plugin hosts) and uncheck the top checkbox.
You can still allow Flash for specific pages.

Does or can it share bookmarks with KDE? For example, Konqueror and rekong use the same bookmark store.

Sry: I wont build in an adblocker because of 3 reasons:
1. Need of maintaince an adlist.
2. Free Internet-services costs something. So some needs to place ads to finance them.
3. Whats the point of an adblocker at all? I understand not liking flash-ads because of massive CPU usage. But normal image-ads are "just there".

It would be nice if it could automatically fill in usernames and passwords via LastPass.
