 Need info

I got the klik client -- even installed and used Skype with it, but... your krita download link does not work the same way, I get a download instead of an install. What am I supposed to do with this krita.cmg? klik://krita.cmg does nothing, and double-clicking it does nothing either. [Mandriva 2005 LE]

Please check if your klik client is current. (There occur daily changes currently). To be sure, re-install:

"wget klik.atekon.de/client/install -O - | sh"

Check if you have the files (shellscripts) .zAppRun and .klik in your ${HOME}.

You can run the klik client on the commandline (with -x for more verbose output):

"sh -x ${HOME}/.zAppRun krita-cmg"

which should startup Krita.

What OS is it that you are using?

 obvious func. apsent

I pretty much dont know anything about graphics, but i liked the functionality to do basic tasks. However some things i found very annoying. For example you cant delete a part of a pic by pressing delete button. I could not find a way how to delete an area at all! resulting in switching back to windows again :(. I think, further versions should consider basic functionalities of that type.

You wouldn't do yourself a favor just for switching back because you don't have del-functionality in krita ;) I don't know how it is in krita - for I'm not able to make a simple selection of a part of the picture at all with it. In Gimp anyway you can delete a part of the picture with Ctrl-X. Maybe you can try that in krita? BTW: this is only the klik package of krita. If you find a bug or have a wish report it to bugzilla (you can find the way via the help menu in krita).

Krita has outgrown this 10 year old post by a bit, go to www.krita.org and check out the latest version!
