Description:

Krefty is quick reference, or cheat sheet, system. So far I've put together sheets for common programs like vim, tar, find, KDE and FlightGear and others.
Data is stored in standard XML files making it easy to create new sheets and modify existing ones.
The application is designed to be lightweight and to popup with a hot key.

I wanted to create some more sheets before going 'mailline' with it.
KDE3.2 is coming soon, so maybe I'll try to get it in 3.3.

A good way to modify the font size would be nice.
Are there plans to make it editable so we don't have to hack away at xml

I don't plan to make it editable. But, then I don't find XML so difficult.
Its easy enough to modify one of the existing sheets to create a new one.

 some improvements

At first krefty is great!

But it would be cool to have some improvements:

  1. printing support; I want to print out a sheet and pin it next to my monitor
  2. preferences for fonts; I need bigger fonts because I barely can read some things in the sheets (e.g. the summary)

 Suggestions

Yeah I know like you need any more of them. :)

On the small fonts. I went through the css sheet upped everything by 2 and poof much more readable.

On the pull down menu. Could it be designed to stay in the window. If I'm running on the right side of the window I lose the pulldown.

Pink and Green? :D

I'm wondering if either OOo or AbiWord could create xml files for this?

Thanks.

 Improved(?) css

I've modified the krefty.css file on this hopefully making it easier to read for those like myself that found it a little tiny. I've also modded it to better match the color scheme of a stock KDE desktop. It's at

http://linuxrebel.us/krefty.css.gz

And if it shows up in here as a link you may need to right click it and chose save as or just cut and past from the browser (some of them seem to display it even though it is gziped.)

Thanks for the feedback, I'll take it all into consideration. I'm looking at putting out a new version soon, with a bunch more sheets.
I hope to have some way to customize the look.
And to dock it in the system tray.
Any further ideas, put 'em out now.
