Description:

KNeuros will be a KDE Frontend for Neuros MP3/OGG players, this will be used for managing the songs that are in the Neuros Player, Im currenty started the coding, not much...so the software is still unusable, so I posted this as an "idea" in case somebody wants to help me with it's development.

a good idea is maybe a kio-slave for this if this product don't support usb-storage ? a kio-slave permits to use this in konqueror and many kde applications.

The great thing about the neuros, is that the ndbm and the firmware are open-sourced. You should have a great deal of documentation to look at, so this project is quite reasonable. Good luck and I can't wait to see what happens.

I've been hoping (all I can do since I can't code) that someone would get around to a more modern Neuros Manager.

Sorune is nice but I haven't been able to get it to work properly since moving to SuSE 9.2 :-(. Positron didn't work for me at all and NDBM seemed clunky and strangely inconsistent in its effect.

SAD NEWS, MY NEUROS DIED TODAY..I ACCIDENTLY LET IT FELL FROM A VERY HIGH PLACE, SO I NEED COOPERATION FROM THE LINUX COMMUNITY AND PLEASE SEND CODE AND HELP WITH THE TESTING.

Instead of developing a brand new application, write a plug-in for Juk so that it can sync a playlist or library with the Neuros.

That would be super cool and it would keep things simple for everyone. That also means that you have to do very little interface work and that you can get feedback from Juk's developer, who is one of KDE's most experienced develoeprs.
