If this is a GTK app, then what does it have to do with KDE to get posted here?

Why cannot GTK apps get posted here. KDE is not about toolkits.

In this case, it is - this page is dedicated to KDE based apps, exceptions are made for programs which are using Qt.

What do you think if k3b or amarok comes up on gnome-apps?

It's not against the program, it's just confusing that you post it here where there are pages which are dedicated to post apps for the different desktop environments...

How utterly freaking clueless are you? KDE is a set of applications and an application framework based on kdelibs which is an extention of the Qt toolkit. The domain name here specifically references KDE apps. You can get general toolkit open source applications on freshmeat.net. You can run GTK apps on KDE, but I can also use an emulator and run Windows apps too, so by your logic we should post them too? Sorry, that's just ridiculous!

The question is valid, especially considering the irritating behavior of some GTK widgets and dialogs. It's curious to say the least. Is the author planning to port this? Why is it here?

What's meant with KDE? kdelibs or kdelibs + kde-apps?

I think one of KDE's main problem is that it sees itself as a capsuled area within the free software world.

I think many users see KDE only as a desktop. A desktop where all applications run. The best applications an not only the best KDE applications.

If KDE wnats to survive it needs to open to other applications. KDE should be the desktop under which KDE- and non-KDE-applications run best.

Many KDE-Users use Openoffice, Gimp, Acrobatreader, Helixplayer,...
So why should not KDE's applications site mention those programs? At least those are programs which run under KDE and which ARE used by KDE-users!

Look at http://www.gnomefiles.org/
Most applications in the top-20 are NO gnome applications.

On a site called windows-applications.org you would expect to see windows-appications (mfc, qt, gtk) and not only applications which use microsoft's gui-toolkit, wouldn't you?
