Description:

A KDE Satellite Improving DesKtops Everywhere. Includes 2 matching kicker backgrounds.

This wallpaper has undergone several modifications and improvements, as listed below, yet the rating has been so low. I would like to hear more feedback about what it is you like or don't like about it. Maybe there's something else I can do to imrove it.

Changelog:

Version 1 - Original design.

Version 2 - New Earth image and improved laser.

Version 3 - Redesigned satellite, added moon, and included kicker backgrounds.

Version 4 - Added stars to the background.

Version 5 - Cleaned up the starfield, changed the phrase to be more friendly, aimed the beam closer to Redmond, and improved the satellite image.

Not a bad concept, but maybe you should try getting a higher quality earth and I think the rays should be a little more beefy/technical looking.

I like it. Don't understand why it has such a low score. It's certainly worthy of better.

Keep it up!

 I got it!

...the low score must be because you chose to feature North America in your image. Next time feature an Euro state or paste a hammer & sickle, satan, peace sign etc. You get the idea.

The low score is because the original submussion was uhm... Lacking. However this has changed. And I am afraid that your assumption about the neo-facist opinions of this forum is greatly exaggerated. Though I was currently rather disturbed by someone who told me there are now people who think that Stalin and Hitler were both Nazis... Some people need to get a grip of history.

And now back to your regular scheduled programme. This is still not really my kind of thing, but the execution of it is much better than what it was. Congrats :)

 The Term Nazi

 by Chris308 on: Jan 15 2004

Score 50%

I agree with the misuse of the term Nazi. It comes from the improper/over use of the term by many liberals. For example, George Bush is a Nazi, John Ashcroft is a Nazi, Big oil are Nazis, Fox news are Nazis etc. Is it any wonder that our kids start to use it improperly as well? or they start to associate the term for anything they think is "bad" or disagree with.

On the low score. We can agree that this is not the best posted here, but for this to have been in the 30's is simply unjustified. If you really do not believe that the majority of posters to this site tend to be liberal (sorry, progressive)then you are either new or unwilling to accept the facts. A low score without suggestions for improvement is an indicator of the reponders "knee jerk" reacting to the content or image. For example, Tim's Christian artwork or my own negative ratings for anything that is Satanic, socialist or porn related.
