Description:

Remember that life is worth living. Death no longer has to be the end of living. Let it be the beginning to something new in heaven. All you have to do is believe that Jesus died for you as you are. Let him rule your life. By believing that Jesus is the Son of God you overcome the world.1John5:5 'That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.'Rom10:9

Offensive to see the blood of Christ? Hebrews 9:22, 'without the shedding of blood is no remission.' and I John 1:7, 'the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin'
I take no offense. Nice job.

We can not forget the blood that was shed. The problem is that people tend to 'beautify' the crucifixion with a loin cloth and show only a little blood on His hands and feet and brow. But the truth is always offensive. He was beaten with a whip (most likely a cat and nine tails with jagged pieces of rock on the ends) which tears the skin off in chunks. Had a spear jabbed into His side and a crown of thorns put on his head.

So yes this should be offensive. We should remember the blood thats the point. Without the blood shed we would not be cleansed of our sins.

Why use Windows or Gates when you can walk through walls? Got LINUX?

Is not enough to confess that "Jesus is Lord", we should let Jesus rule our lives, yes, but the mens will be judged by God not for the sins they've done, but because they don't recognize the divinity of God, they don't want even hear about these days...
Our lives and all the knowledge is from GOD, so the message should be: get closer to Jesus :)

God Bless We All ! Amen!

You might be forgetting about the thief on the cross beside Jesus Christ. Just in case:

"Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us."

and

"For by grace are we saved through faith. And that not of ourseleves, it is a gift of God."

As Martin Luther put it, "Sola fides." and "Sola scriptura."

Christians forget that...

IMO there are better places to discuss religion than here, someone can says Jesus is The Lord, another Shiva is the perfect idol, opendesktop.org is not a philosophic site.

 Simple Logic

Just like in the arguments for eroticism, if you don't like it, don't download it.

Simple.

When you start to impose your preferences on EVERYONE else via censorship, its a slippery slope.

Please, oh please, lets try freedom.

If your version of truth cannot endure opposition, then you probably don't have truth.

Hmm, I never said to remove the wallpaper, it's an artistic creation and wathever it means, it's cool to share it.
Where I have a negative approch, is the comments like :" All you have to do is believe that Jesus died for you as you are. Let him rule your life. By believing that Jesus is the Son of God you overcome the world" or "Is not enough to confess that "Jesus is Lord", we should let Jesus rule our lives" Whooo, and if I'm not a believer, my freedom is to think what I want, not? Who are you to evangelise me like that? I don't go to church to listen priest, and it's not to read him here. Like I said, this site is not a philosophic place.

I certainly wasn't pointing any fingers at you, Joshuafr. Apologies if it looked like that.

I guess I've become a firm believer in letting people speak their mind...whether its Christianity, witchcraft, porn, Buddha, ...whatever. If any one gets too incessant, there's always regular-expression filter plugins.

Hmmm, maybe this site should offer an integrated RE filtration list. 'Course I'd probably reject the adverts first thing...which is probably why its not offered.

EVERYONE wants to proselytize, usually for my money.

«See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are! But the people who belong to this world don’t recognize that we are God’s children because they don’t know him.»
1 John 3:1

«But we are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives. And we are eagerly waiting for him to return as our Savior.»
Philippians, 3:20

This is my freedom.
