Description:

EXPLANATION OF THE MOSAIC:
Most of the insets are crosses worn by pinup girls and porn stars conducting business ... swinging wildly. None of these crosses were gratuitously faked in any way except brightening and enhancement.

The crosses in the \\\"thieves\\\" positions are those worn by Cardinal Desmond Connell (left) and Cardinal Edward Egan (right). Recall they were convicted of child molestation. Egan was murdered in prison, IIRC.

The central cross was a Nazi award given in 1937, so engraved on its back.

The Hitler inset with its crosses at the bottom is that of Pius XII (aka \\\"Hitler\\\'s Pope\\\") from that same era. He was the first Nazi pope.

The Constantine quote \\\"With this symbol will you conquer\\\" is from his reputed dream/vision justifying Roman Catholicism\\\'s use of the cross, a Roman method of torture/execution, as its primary religious symbol and conquering standard. This wallpaper shows the modern fruition of that dream.

I finish with the now famous quote from Hamlet, just before his \\\"To be or not to be\\\" soliloquy...
LORD POLONIUS: We are oft to blame in this,--
\\\'Tis too much proved--that with devotion\\\'s visage
And pious action we do sugar o\\\'er
The devil himself.
KING CLAUDIUS [Aside] O, \\\'tis too true!
How smart a lash that speech doth give my conscience!
The harlot\\\'s cheek, beautied with plastering art,
Is not more ugly to the thing that helps it
Than is my deed to my most painted word:
O heavy burthen!

Correct.
If you type "Nazi cardinal" into Google image search, it will reward you with a visual cascade of similar atrocities.
The history of Latin (what a misnomer) America, the Crusades, protestants, Jews, and anybody they didn't like is all very similar.
Its foolish to consider the "cross" to be a symbol of peace, righteousness, or even (especially) of Biblical Christianity.
Its just a Roman symbol of raw bloody conquest and immorality.
Read history.
Read the Bible.
You'll see.

I agree with you. This site should also be to inform because communications media that show and say only what suits them. Do not believe everything they say on TV, read the story of the Vatican. Voted +

Interesting compilation and background information. But from an artistic perspective tawdry and out of place on this site. Voted down.

Voting comments down...you don't seem to be very receptive of criticism.
