Description:

Just a mockup of a listbox widget with two transparent gradients added on the top and the bottom of it. This could indicate that we have items higher and lower behind the viewable area. Also I don't think it would cost too much since this can be done with cairo through a minimal code rewriting. The corresponding gradient would only appear when there are items still hiding. If there aren't, gradient should be hidden. Just my two cents.

That would be nice to have. Excellent idea. Definitely one of those "why didn't I think of that?" ideas.

Thanks for your comment. Later I realized this could be implemented for menus too, I think. Hope big GTK guys will pay a bit of attention to this aspect.

I like the idea, and I like second screenshot, where you can see , what apps are installed. Now we can just hope that someone will implement this in the near future.

 Simple but promising idea

I have seen this idea suggested before, and it is a very minimal change that can make several applications look better. Shouldn't be hard to implement, so hopefully we can see this in GNOME soon.
