Description:

Keep in mind that this is just an idea, it has not been turned into an official plasmoid yet. Icons in the widget idea come from the Breathless icon set for KDE4 and the frame I used to construct the doodle pad was from the Tragedy theme to show that the frame and buttons will be dependent on your plasma theme. I'll whip up another image using the Air theme

This is a rough idea of a doodle plasmoid I had in mind for people that like to doodle, but do not want to whip out a piece of paper just to do that.

The top icons are basic editing things like undo, redo, save, etc. The save dialog might bring up how big the user wants to save it as long as the ratio between the height and the width is the same.

The first icon on the bottom brings up a mixing pad where a user can splot some colors in there and smudge them together along with a color picker.

The first dot is the primary color (with which the user paints normally) and the secondary color (the user right clicks on the canvas in order to use that). Clicking on either dot will bring up a change color dialog for the user to adjust the color.

The paintbucket icon brings up a horizontal bar with icons for other tools (the painbucket = paintbrush is the default tool). There will be a zoom function...though I think there\'d have to be another tool to allow the user to navigate the whole image.

I think there might be some integration with the color picker plasmoid (which we already have, circled in green)...but I haven\'t thought of how yet.

As artist and designer I often have to fire out a whole instance of gimp/mypaint/krita/whatever to make a quick sketch of something, having a plasmoid that is a bitmap equivalent of the notes plasmoid would be really, really useful.

Same over here :) Not to mention that, I love doodling for fun, but I do not want to kill as many trees by wasting a sheet for each doodle set I do.
