I have not made a Metacity Theme yet. So far only Gnome is themed. I have no idea if Cinnamon will show the transparency. I know that Linux-Mint does not use Gtk-3.20, therefore this theme will not work.

Yeah I'm on arch with cinnamon. Has gtk 3.20, but cinnamon still uses megacity theme border for non-GNOME apps

doesn't show transparancy for me on cinnamon, does that only work in gnome-session? or is there something I can do to enable it?

Arch with Cinnamon will work. The transparency is written into the theme css, so I don't know if Cinnamon will honor it or not. Transparency is enabled by default in Gtk3 apps.

Awesome. I'd love to use it as my theme but I gotta wait for a matching metacity theme.

I made a Metacity theme and worked on Nemo. The latest package '2' has theme included.
Cheers!

 Window borders

You can make window borders thinner? For example, in the numix themes. Too large a window border is uncomfortable, too much space it occupies on the screen.
