Description:

-------------------------------------------------
Breeze-GTK Theme is a slightly modified variation of the new KDE Plasma 5 theme suite ported for Ubuntu 16.04, and completes the suite with the matching Breeze-GTK Icon Theme here: http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php?content=175996

Original Theme: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/breeze-gtk

Window Buttons: https://github.com/horst3180/arc-theme

Nautilus Sidebar: https://github.com/shimmerproject/Greybird

Cursor Theme:

Recommended but not included as it's readily available here: http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Breeze+Serie?content=169316

Background
-------------------------------------------------

The great Breeze window theme (including also a dark variant) is also available in official Ubuntu repositories in the package gtk3-engines-breeze (the package name might be slightly misleading as it includes the GTK/Window theme as well as the engine).

However, when installed, its too slim to be used. In deed you cannot even see the theme listed, because it (currently) lacks some essential bits like unity and metacity-1 subdirectories, etc.

So I decided to start using this great theme by adding such necessary components and one or two improvements...
I found the outcome quite satisfactory, and decided to share it here, also hoping for some further improvements from more skilled and experience people perhaps (see the To-Do list below).

Installation
-------------------------------------------------

Naturally you need to install first the gtk3-engines-breeze package from official Ubuntu repositories in order to use the modification package here.

Then you can download the git repository using the link below, and run the script from within the source directory (just above the level of GTK-Theme and Icon-Theme subdirectories) or perform similar operations manually, if preferred.

Note: The downloaded zip file also includes the matching Breeze-GTK Icon Theme.

Window Buttons

If the original Breeze window control buttons are preferred, there are also 2 small scripts to change them, but those (bigger) buttons are somehow too close to one another at the moment. So you might like to change the buttons back to the default state using the other script, unless you find a way of fixing that spacing issue.

To-Do (Help Wanted ;-)
-------------------------------------------------

- Prevent filenames from becoming invisible when renaming in Nautilus
- Find a better shade of blue for the sidebar
- Get rid of inconsistent checkbox images (checked = filled / ticked)
- Make the original Breeze window control buttons usable (smaller images or more spacing)

Issues, Bug Reports, Suggestions, etc.

Please feel free to report bugs, issues, make new feature requests, suggestions, patches, pull requests (and perhaps become a collaborator and even assume project ownership?) at https://github.com/Sadi58/Breeze-GTK
