Wow, that's the cleanest splash i've seen so far! Imagine secretly installing linux on a friend's Mac Pro with this splash and then watch his face as he power up the computer! =)

I want the same image, getting darker when I boot Kubuntu. Can you make this? ahem, well, I like what i'm seeing. This is a nice KDE splash!

you mean bootsplash right, not ksplash.
if so, what engine does kubuntu use for the bootsplash. for example fedora 11 uses plymouth.
If it is simple, then sure i will do it.

I tried my hand at making a boot splash our of your theme.....
You will have to turn your png animation to a mng animation and figure out how to write the damn config file.... Documentation anyone? :-)
