Description:

Initial version of BlueNeon based off ElegantBrit (by fmrbpensador), though almost all the original artwork has been changed.

All feedback is appreciated. Please try to keep criticism constructive.

I would recommend that you switch toolbars to "Text Only" from "System -> Appearance -> Toolbar Button Labels" (gnome) and from "User Interface" in "Settings Manager" under XFCE.
But that's just me.

Anyone know how to skin Firefox 3 form controls from the gtkrc please drop me a line.

OpenOffice
There is a bug in OpenOffice (- 2.4.1) which forces the "hicolor" icon theme when a dark gtk theme is being used. Turning this feature off in "Accessibility" does not seem to have any effect. So, if you get text-only toolbars in OO, then make sure you have the "hicolor" icon theme for OO installed.

Changelog:

Jul 22 '08

- Updated menubar and toolbar.
- Some button fixes.

Jul 21 '08 - v0.1

Alpha GTK and Emerald Themes. There are still numerous bugs, especially with apps that don't adhere well to GTK theme specs, like OpenOffice, Firefox and Thunderbird.

This GTK looks great - I think the grey text might look a little better if it were a couple of shades whiter (or bluer?). It looks a little like 'in-active' or 'greyed-out' text at the moment. Otherwise, can't wait to give it a go!

I'm not sure I understand this concept. Why are certain parts of the UI made so it cannot be read? How do you use software when you can't read the text in the windows?

Which parts are you referring to? Could you post a screenshot? I have been using this theme for months, and I can read everything (except for firefox, there is a bug here which doesn't render the text in the correct colour. I use a different theme for firefox only).

Application menus and inactive tabs. Can't even see they're there in your screenshots. It's just black to me. Nothing there.

And my monitor settings shouldn't be the cause.. It's at maximum brightness.

Ah. The screens are a bit out of date. The text colours have been changed to make then more visible. I have not had time to update the screenshots.
