 Change for Unity

Hello again :) I was not able to get the windowdecoration work on Unity up to Ubuntu 14.40. Because there a lot of changes: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Unity/Theming So i can't use your Windowsdecoration with the Unityshell. Is it possible to rewrite something that your decoration also work on Unity? I know it is a lot of work... it really would be nice. Thanks and best regards!

You could try this:
sudo apt-get install gnome-session-flashback
it may work for you, but it was made for Metacity WM. Sorry, wish I was more help.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanx,

It's simple: go to your home folder, and right-click and "create folder" and place the contents of this theme into it, and unzip it. This will install the theme, the GTK 2/3, and the Metacity. For the rest, there is a "README" text in the tar.gz file that will tell you in detail how to install all the extras that come with the theme. If you have any problems, just let me know and I will try to help you.

Oops, sorry, but I missed the KDE part... this theme won't work with KDE, it's for Cinnamon.

You can still use the gtk2 part if you have the qt-gkt engine installed. Install it as any other gtk2 theme (usually in /user/share/themes/) and then go into systemsettings, qtconfig or whatever utility you prefer to change the KDE theme to use gtk2. After that you should be good to go if the downloaded theme is set properly for usage with gtk2. You can set the .gtk-2.0 file manually to point to the correct theme or you can use a graphical tool like lxappearance to do it for you.

 Fallback directory

Sorry, but I have that peculiar problem when I have the icon theme activated I get the default (ugly brown) gnome icons. Apart from this some of the icons in some programs are appearing... well HUGE. This is the first time I've encountered behavior so odd. By the way I admittedly use XFCE but still there should be no problems whatsoever.

I have no problem with the icon size on my system, so I would need more information to possibly figure out what is going on there. As far as the icons go, I am getting near the end of a year of refurbishing them completely. There could be some errors in the appropriate size of some of the icons, (this is being addressed), or it could be incompatibility with your system, or simply just a necessary adjustment, or added directory; however I am unfamiliar with XFCE and its compatibility or incompatibility with this suite of software, as this was created using Linux Mint.

I can only say that my GTK is 2.20 in Ubuntu Studio 15.10. But there's been the same problem with all versions even with LTS 14.04 on which, I presume, Mint is also based.

Well, I can only say that I hope my re-doing all the icons will fix the problem you described. I hope to have it completed soon, and will update when I finish. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Very nice work, but why does the gtk2 version look so much prettier than the gtk3 one? Am i doing something wrong on my end?
