Description:

Made to go with the Azenis Gnome Theme by jameshardy88. Originally created by JJ Ying. Ported to KDE by Ezy.

Using the KBFX theme by Ezy I modified it to work with GnoMenu.

I used the Azenis Icon set by jameshardy88 and used some Icons from my Metallic theme to fill in those not in the Azenis Icon set.

Gnome Theme can be found here:

http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Azenis?content=106608

Changelog:

colorized some of the theme elements

Used extra Azenis Icons found on Internet, with some created by jameshardy88 and myself.

Fixed Azenis Logo. Looks a lot better.

GnoMenu - Documentatio n Manager

In the directory where you unpacked the tarball open a terminal and use the command "sudo make install" and that will handle the installation of Gnomenu itself.

Now Right click on the gnome-panel and select "Add to panel..." and in the selections you will see GnoMenu select it and clack "Add"

On the GnoMenu button right click and select "Preferences". There you will see the controls to add and delete GnoMenu Themes for the Menu, Button and Icon sets. Click "Install" and then navigate to the themename.tar.gz file you wish to install and select it. Then in the drop down You can select the theme you just installed. (It will be the last item in the list as you just installed it.) click the "OK" and let GnoMenu restart. when the error message from gnome-panel appears select "Reload" and your newly installed and selected GnoMenu theme will show up.

You can extract the file one of two ways. Either right click the file and select extract here (if available or open a terminal window and use the following command:

gzip -dc gnomenu-1.9.9.tar.gz | tar xf -

make: *** No rule to make target `install'. Stop.
this is the first.

gzip: gnomenu-1.9.9.tar.gz: No such file or directory
tar: This does not look like a tar archive
tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors
this is the second

How to install GnoMenu & Theme

by openxs on: Jul 12 2009

openxsopenxs
Hostzilla Internet

Installation on Ubuntu:

Save the GnoMenu file to your desktop (Gnomenu)

http://launchpad.net/gnomenu/trunk/1.9-final/+download/gnomenu-1.9.9.tar.gz

Once it's downloaded, right-click the file and choose 'Extract Here'.

Next you need to make sure the correct dependencies are all installed, so open a terminal (Applications >> Accessories >> Terminal) and type in :

sudo apt-get install python python-xdg python-cairo python-gconf python-xlib deskbar-applet

Next, in the terminal you need to change in to the directory you extracted earlier. Type in:

cd ~/Desktop/gnomenu

now type:

make install

This will install GnoMenu, it comes with some themes installed by default. Once this is done, you'll be able to right-click on your panel and select 'Add to panel'. Select GnoMenu from the list, it'll add an icon to the panel, right-click the icon and choose 'Preferences'. From there you'll be able to install the menu themes you've downloaded and download others from the Internet.

 your GnoMenu-Theme Azenis

by Karmicbastler on: Oct 21 2009

Score 50%

hi tecchnoshaun:
I installed all the three Azenis-Themes sucessfully and I like them very much indeed!!

But now one last question:
is there also a red and a green version of this GnoMenu of Azenis there?
I have GnoMenu also successfully running and now I am - just for finishing up - looking for the corresponding red and green version of Azenis GnoMenu including the icons and the buttons.

Can you tell me where to find these Gnomenu-themes of Azenis in red and green color?

Thank you technoshaun!!

Edit: I know you already from Launchpad where you also helped me a lot with Ubuntu Tweak (I love this little program!!)

Greetings
Karmicbastler

 Gnome-Terminal

I get an error message when clicking the gnome-terminal link.

Quote:
GnoMenu detected a malicious script in this theme.
The script was blocked!
You should uninstall the selected theme and contact the website where you got it.

The script that tried to run was: gnome-terminal

Is there any way to unblock the script?

I'm using Ubuntu Karmic.

It's a great gnomenu theme!

GnoMenu - Documentatio n Manager

You need to update GnoMenu with the latest tarball or from the bzr. Believe there is a deb out there as well. That was a bug that appeared in the initial 2.4 release of GnoMenu but Helder fixed it with the release of 2.4.1.
