i do shell scripting the ownage way, and atm (since quite a time) dont have much to do

so... i offer opendesktop .org a full recode of the site to .sh and .awk

php is a very slow language, by the way, and if you dont know what awk is, awk is the tool interpreting a small language which in result is one of the fastest data processing things around

I love openDesktop.org since i can post artwork from this site and it's been displayed in a lot of different subsites.

Anyways i often add conky configuration, whose category is "Other Gnome Stuff".

This category is not present in openDesktop.org so i always have to go to gnome-look.org to post it...

Could you please add this category to openDesktop.org? It would be great!

i think it would really raise the comfort in browsing through content if the thumbnail in content lists links to an overlay image like done with lightbox2 (http://www.huddletogether.com/projects/lightbox2/) or jQuery lightBox (http://leandrovieira.com/projects/jquery/lightbox/) (both are creative commons licensed).

browsing on the different openDesktop.org sites can become really uncomfortable. in most cases the preview images are the best way to judge if you are interested in a special content, but the thumbnail in the list is to small to do so. so you have to 1. click on the entry, 2. click on the thumbnail on the content page, 3. click on the image or close window/tab, 4. click back to return to the list.
with an overlay image you would just 1. click on the thumbnail, 2. close overlay image (after browsing through the preview images) and you are back on the list.

thanks for the hint. we\'ll have a look at it. but don\'t expect results that fast, we\'ve lots of other thing in the pipline for the near future e.g. a personlised newsletter.
