Reverse the button order in the dialog boxes

The buttons in the dialog boxes follow the order specified by the Human Interface Guidelines of Gnome. It's the contrary on the KDE button order. If you want the Firefox buttons to follow the same order as the rest of KDE programs, activate this feature.

Browser's Back, Forward and Print buttons behaviour

These buttons behaviour is a bit special and I think I should talk about it. At these buttons bottom right corner there's a small dropmarker arrow looking down. If you place the mouse over it, it will highlight. Clicking on this dropmarker, a menu drops down. On the other hand, if you click on another place of the button, it works as a normal button. You will notice in this case the arrow won't hightlight. This is how you can see what is the area of the button where the arrow has effect.

This way, these buttons simulate the behaviour of their equivalents in Konqueror. I can't make them drop down the menu after having them pressed some time, but at least this way the behaviour is approximated to it, and the button is smaller than if the dropmarkers were sepparate buttons.

Known bugs

Firefox now shows only the Close button instead of OK and Cancel. This can be easily fixed by changing the key "browser.preferences.instantApply" to false, but there should be some way to make the theme ignore that property to force it to false while not affecting the other themes.

When a menu's popup is opened at the left side of its parent, an undesired margin appears making it dificult to reach it without making it disappear. I'm working on it and I've made some progresses, but I still have a problem I haven't been able to solve. I hope to have this old bug fixed for the next release.

The selector of preference groups in the Options dialog is up. I'm going to move it to the left for improved usability while in KDE. I still have problems because when I do it, it stops working properly. This should be fixed somehow for the final release.

Invertir el orden de los botones en los cuadros de diálogo

En Linux, los botones de los cuadros de diálogo aparecen con el orden que establecen las Human Interface Guidelines de Gnome, que es el contrario del orden de botones de KDE. Si desea que los botones de Firefox tengan el mismo orden que los demás programas de KDE active esta característica.

Funcionamiento de los botones Atrás, Adelante e Imprimir del navegador

El comportamiento de estos botones es un tanto especial y creo que merece la pena comentarlo. En la parte inferior derecha de estos botones hay una pequeña flecha hacia abajo. Al acercar el ratón a esta flecha se ilumina. Si la pulsamos, se desplegará un menú. En cambio, si pulsamos en cualquier otra parte del botón, funcionará como un botón normal. En este caso, podremos comprobar que la flecha no se ilumina, y de este modo podremos saber cuál es el área sobre el que tiene efecto la flecha.

De esa manera, estos botones simulan el comportamiento de sus equivalentes en Konqueror. No puedo hacer que al mantenerlos pulsados un tiempo se despliegue el menú, pero al menos de esta manera el comportamiento se aproxima y el botón ocupa menos espacio que si las flechas para desplegar los menús estuvieran separadas en otros botones.

Fallos conocidos

Firefox ahora sólo muestra el botón Cerrar en lugar de Aceptar y Cancelar, y los cambios en las preferencias son instantáneos, lo cual no es coherente con KDE. Esto se puede arreglar fácilmente cambiando la clave "browser.preferences.instantApply" a false, pero debería haber alguna forma de hacer que Firefox ignore esa propiedad cuando se está usando Plastikfox sin que afecte a otros temas.

Cuando se abre el popup de un menú a la izquierda de su padre aparece un margen no deseado que hace difícil alcanzarlo sin que desaparezca. Estoy trabajando en ello y he conseguido algunos progresos, aunque todavía me queda un problema que no he conseguido resolver. Espero tener arreglado este viejo fallo para la próxima versión.

El selector de grupos de preferencias en la ventana de Opciones aparece arriba, lo cual es incoherente con KDE. Voy a moverlo a la izquierda para mejorar la usabilidad. Todavía tengo problemas ya que al hacerlo deja de funcionar. Esto debería estar arreglado para la versión final.

Algunas veces las pestañas no se muestran correctamente.

Si pulsa los botones de atrás y adelante mientras están desactivados cambian su tamaño. No debería ser demasiado difícil de arreglar.

El aspecto de las ventanas de extensiones y temas debería ser retocado.

Inverti l'ordine dei pulsanti nelle finestre di dialogo

I pulsanti nelle finestre di dialogo seguono le direttive dell' "Human Interface Guidelines" di Gnome. Su KDE queste direttive sono opposte. Se si vuole che i pulsanti di Firefox seguano le direttive di KDE, attivare questa opzione.

Comportamento dei pulsanti Indietro, Avanti e Stampa del browser

Il comportamento di questi pulsanti e' un po' particolare e penso che se ne debba parlare. Nell'angolo in basso a sinistra di questi pulsanti c'è una piccola freccia che punta verso il basso. Se il mouse ci passa sopra, questa si illuminerà. Cliccando su questa freccia verrà giù un menu. Invece, cliccando su qualsiasi altro punto del pulsante, il comportamento è uguale a quello di un normale pulsante. In questo caso, si può notare che la freccia non si illumina. In questo modo si capisce quale area del pulsante verrà usata.

In questo modo, questi pulsanti simulano l'analogo comportamento dei loro equivalenti in Konqueror. Non è possibile visualizzare il menu dopo una pressione prolungata del pulsante, ma almeno, in questo modo, il comportamento è approssimato a quello che dovrebbe essere e il pulsante è più piccolo di quello che sarebbe se le frecce fossero separate dal pulsante principale.

Inversion de l'ordre des boutons dans les boîtes de dialogue

Les boutons dans les boîtes de dialogue suivent l'ordre spécifié par les Recommandations concernant les Interfaces Homme-Machine du projet Gnome. Cet ordre est l'inverse de celui des boutons dans KDE. Si vous souhaitez que les boutons de Firefox suivent le même ordre que ceux du reste des applications de KDE, activez donc cette fonctionnalité.

Comportement des boutons «Précédent», «Suivant» et «Imprimer» du navigateur

Le comportement de ces boutons est un peu particulier et je pense qu'il faut en parler. Au pied (à droite) de ces boutons, il y a une petite flèche dirigée vers le bas. Si vous placez la souris au-dessus, la flèche s'illumine et le fait de cliquer dessus fait apparaître un menu. Autrement, en cliquant ailleurs sur le bouton, celui-ci se comporte normalement et vous remarquerez que, dans ce cas, la flèche ne s'illumine pas. De cette manière que vous pouvez identifier la zone du bouton dans laquelle la flèche a un effet.

Dans ces conditions, ces boutons simulent le comportement de leurs équivalents dans Konqueror. Cela étant, je ne parviens pas à leur faire faire apparaître le menu lorsque, quel que soit l'endroit, on appuie dessus quelques instants, mais au moins leur comportement est proche de celui voulu et qui plus est, les boutons sont plus petits que si les flèches étaient elles-aussi des mini-boutons.

Plastikfox has been made by Víctor Fernández Martínez , a 24 years-old student at Universidad Politécnica de Valencia (Spain.) He is a member of PoLinux, it's Linux users group, and also collaborates with NAVE, the spanish Mozilla localization project. Right now he is on Erasmus in Innsbruck (Austria).

Plastikfox is based on Plastikzilla and Plastik by Sandro Giessl. It also uses Everaldo's icon set "Crystal SVG 1.0".

Plastikfox theme, contained in this package, is distributed under the terms of the GPL license by GNU. It provides the full source files, directly usable in Mozilla.
